The Isle of Man ACU Enduro Championship standings after Round 3.
Western Enduro - Results
Round 3 of the Isle of Man Enduro Championship started at the Old Railway Car Park St Johns with special tests around Eairy Beg and Archallagan plantations, once the rain started both tests became very tricky and it was an achievement to finish the event.
Juan Knight took overall honours but was kept honest by 2nd placed Barry Kinley, Ben Begbie and Chris Madigan who were all within 90 seconds of each other after 3 laps of the course.
Clubman was impressively won by Kieron Jones by almost 8 minutes whose times were comparable with the top 3 in the Experts class. There was another close battle for 2nd spot Mark Oates, Kevin Riley, Andy Cannell and Jimmy Cubbon all in contention for the top 3 and finished in that order.
Sportsman completed 2 laps of each test with Andrew Sidebottom and Andrew MacDonald separated by no more than 1 minute with Graham Taubman finishing 3rd. The rear of field featured some lengthy times and congratulations should go to those who stuck at it and got home for a finish.
Clerk of the course Nigel Beaumont would like to thank Rob Faragher, Mark Wilson, Maurice Bellando, Helen Beaumont, Wendy Crellin and all at DAFF without which the event would not have run.
The whole enduro committee would also like to thank Gary Cawtherley who spent most of the past 2 weeks living in Archallagan plantation and set out a fantastic and very long test.
