The opening round of the championship took place in less than favourable conditions, with a large field containing more than a smattering of famous names from all areas of bikesport including TT stars Ian Hutchinson, Connor Cummins and local trials legend Steve Colley. Not suprisingly it was David Knight that lead the experts field home in fine style onboard his factory KTM but was kept honest by his hard riding elder brother Juan.

There was a close battle for the final podium place between Mike Turner, Steve Colley (on board his trials mount in preparation for the WOR Tough One at the end of Jan.) and current #1 plate holder Ben Begbie, but it was veteren campaigner Mike Turner that held off the challenge for 3rd at the end of the 7 tests.

Clubman riders completed 5 tests in total and it was Neil Kerruish that took the spoils ahead of the Pedrosa sized Darren Murphy in 2nd place with Kevin Riley rounding out the top 3.

Sportsmen had a easier time of it with only 2 timed laps of the trecherously slippy Jonny Massons field and 1 timed lap of Cringle plantation to deal with along with the going in Arrassey. The top 3 spots were filled by Paul Cannell, veteren Maurice Kelly & Paul Metcalf.
