The second annual SMCC EndurOgasm social event was held in baking sunshine on dry and dusty land at Carnegrie which made the post race chilled beer taste even better. The event and the entire clubs future was placed in jeopardy on friday night when an over optimistic pairing of Nige Beaumont and most valuable asset club secretary Brenda Crellin took a hefty tumble off the down hill side of the clubs farm quad and were very nearly squashed - next time Brenda is going to drive!

The course used only half the clubs land but still meant a 5min lap for the fastest riders and included a tyre section with alternate ‘chicken run’, start / finish ramp and a recently created, by chainsaw expert Jason McNee, log section complete with see-saws a spectator favourite!

The format was a little different than last year with electronic timing again being used each of the classes could be awarded separately so no handicap system was employed. Winner received alcoholic refreshments and

Summer Series Trial results

Sportsman rider Jason Bulliment had a nasty and tumble part way through but got going again after some attention from the Manx First Aid  team and probably has a few good bruises today!

The entire SMCC committee would like to thank everyone who attended, helped out with course and section marking  for the enduro, trial and sidecar trial events as well as those who helped make the evening entertainment and food a success.

2009 Isle of Man Enduro Championship Results

Prizes are given out to 6th place in each Class and tickets for the annual dinner can be bought from any committee member or by calling Nigel Beaumont on 450458

 The Southern MCC Annual Dinner Dance and Prize Presentation at the Empress Hotel Douglas.

 Saturday 7th November 2009 7.30pm till late.

Awards will be presented for the top 6 Enduro riders in each class, Trials championship awards and as well as individual awards for the year.

Tickets are £27.00pp for 3 course meal and band all good fun available from any committee member and at Sign on on Sunday.

The South Birmingham Motor Club will organise a National Restricted Competition for machines complying to Class 8 of the ACU Sammy Miller Products Trials Championship and are selected to compete in teams.
